Ball Spline Ball Screws Performance Advantages

Design Principle

Precision spline screws

Precision spline screws have intersecting ball screw grooves and ball spline grooves on the shaft. Special bearings are directly mounted on the outer diameter of the nut and spline cap. By rotating or stopping the precision spline, a single screw can have three modes of motion at the same time: rotary, linear and helical.

Product Characteristics

ball screw

- Large load capacity

The ball rolling grooves are specially molded, and the grooves have a 30° contact angle of the Gödel tooth type, resulting in a large load capacity in both the radial and torque directions.

- Zero rotational clearance

The angular contact structure with pre-pressurization enables zero clearance in the rotational direction, thus improving rigidity.

- High rigidity

High torque rigidity and moment rigidity can be obtained by applying appropriate preload depending on the situation due to the large contact angle.

- Ball retainer type

Due to the use of a circulator, the steel ball will not fall out even if the spline shaft is withdrawn from the spline cap.

 - Applications

Industrial robots, handling equipment, automatic coilers, ATC automatic tool changers...etc.

- High positioning accuracy

Spline tooth type is Gothic tooth, there is no gap in the direction of rotation after applying pre-pressure, which can effectively improve its accuracy.

- Light weight and small size

The integrated structure of the nut and support bearing and the light weight of the precision spline enable compact and lightweight design.

 - Easy mounting

Due to the use of a circulator, the steel ball will not fall out even if the spline cap is withdrawn from the spline shaft.

- High rigidity of support bearing

Precision screws require high axial force during operation, so the support bearing is designed with a 45˚ contact angle to provide high axial rigidity; the precision spline side support bearing is designed with a 45˚ contact angle to withstand the same axial and radial forces.

- Low noise and smooth movement

The ball screws adopt the end-cap reflux method, which can realize low noise and smooth motion.

- Applications

SCARA robots, assembly robots, automatic loaders, ATC devices for machining centers, etc., as well as combined devices for rotary and linear motion.
